A day in the life of a romance author, from the mundane to the crazy. From family life to writing life. And sometimes, my opinion, which often isn't noted for being very humble.

Ain't Being an Author Grand?
The other night, I was looking up information about colors. What I was really looking for was a list of colors-- beyond the usual red, green, yellow. What I found was an interesting site on the psychology of color: HERE. This site said that purple doesn't occur much in nature, so when I saw the sunrise with the purple sky, I couldn't resist. The urge to write a description for this particular sunrise is making my fingers itchy. The need to convey the gorgeousness of this picture gnaws at me as I stare at the picture, working it out in my mind, just how I'd phrase it-- how I'd paint a picture with words that would do justice to the picture, allowing the reader to see the picture without actually seeing the picture itself.
And then I think to myself, ain't being an author grand?

Yup.
We get to investigate THE COOLEST things and then bend them in our minds and take them a step further.
Grand. Blessed. Lucky. Amazing.
All of it fits.
It sure does.
