A day in the life of a romance author, from the mundane to the crazy. From family life to writing life. And sometimes, my opinion, which often isn't noted for being very humble.

Sunset Sensations...
Isn't that a gorgeous sunset? So often, I see things in nature that I think, "I need to remember that"-- how it looked, the way the sun hits it, the subtle variations of color, how it made me feel to see it and, most of all, just how am I going to use that in a novel to evoke the same emotions in the reader that I felt seeing it first-hand, and how will that description enhance the story?

Yup, me too. Often, I'll totally drift off and start trying to compose it, as if the page is right there and ripe for this description.
It's a good mental exercise -- AND it increases your appreciation for nature. Win-win!
Absolutely! I get lost in trying to name the colors in my attempt to find just the right one. It never ceases to amaze me all the fanastic color variations in the world.
