So what does this have to do with writing and writing tips? From that list, and it's not at all an exhaustive list, you have a glimpse about me, what I treasure and value. Yes, I could add more---perhaps make a list of things I don't like, although a little of that could be extrapolated from my "Love's List"...My likes and dislikes may not be unique to me in that I realize I'm not the only person on the planet who loves chocolate, but you could probably draw some conclusions about me based on that list. These, in addition to my life experiences, make me Laura. These are just the tip of the proverbial iceberg, however. We all are 3-dimensional---living, breathing, thinking, loving, laughing, crying, etc...And because of that, we are interesting, worth getting to know. As a writer, I want my characters to be as alive and vibrant as I am, as my friends and family are so that my readers will want to get to know the character and continue reading my novel.
