Writing Prompts

Kinda feeling in between right now, what with having sent off a manuscript...Have something like 3 WIPS started, mostly started as something to do when working on the now-subbed ms became overwhelming, but I think at least 2 of them have some merit, would be worth focusing upon after the ol' braincell settles on which one. Plus, life in the Laura Household is in a bit of an uproar at the moment, so as soon as Life stops interferring with my writing, I can't wait to dive into one of those WIPS.

In the meantime, I've always enjoyed coming up with writing prompts, so I'll give it a whirl today and maybe shake something loose - for you, for me - doesn't matter - I'm just along for awesome snackage. ;)

Writing Prompts

Pair your best childhood friend with your most recent ex, and see what happens in a fictional setting.

Humankind has colonized the Moon...

Sleeping Beauty, only SHE's a HE.

Shipwrecked...Who? Where? Why? How long? What happens?

Work the following into a short story: A dolphin, an oceanographer, a meteorite and another main character of your choice.

It is not a bad idea to get in the habit of writing down one's thoughts. It saves one having to bother anyone else with them.
~Isabel Colegate~

Stories have a beginning, a middle and an end. But not necessarily in that order.
~Robert Silverberg~
