Review!

It was my pleasure to read Meg Allison's Broken, available from Smashwords this weekend. What a wonderful way to spend a day, curled up on the couch with a good read.

Even the strongest spirits can break.

Weary of his solitary life, Gabriel Bonét sets out one night in search of peace. Instead he finds a reason to live. When he rescues Beth Murphy and heals her wounds, he unlocks the mental gateway she’s erected to stifle her empathic abilities. Her gift puts her on the same wavelength with a brutal killer who stalks their quiet mountain town.

Being thrown into Gabriel's arms, Beth believes her lifetime of bad luck is about to change. But she gets much more than she bargained for: The man she’s been lusting after is a man with secrets. Will she be able to accept the unbelievable before it’s too late?

*Warning: This title contains an unlucky heroine; a hero with a failed God-complex; murder; mayhem; and plenty of sultry lovin'.

If ever there were two people who needed a bit of luck in their lives, it's Gabriel and Beth. When the Universe conspires to get these two together, it also cruelly conspires to keep them apart. "Can't win for losing" could be their motto. Despite all life throws at these two, they do manage to overcome and find the love they both have been looking for.

Broken is a paranormal romance, with a bit of intrigue, by Meg Allison, part of her wonderful Sentinals series, and I sure hope there's more to come because I'd sure love to see her Sentinals universe developed and explored to a greater extent. Well worth spending the afternoon, curled up on your couch with your ebook reader.

G'wan. You know you wanna read it.
