Didja know that it's September already? That means there are only 112 Shopping Days Left Until Christmas.
Yes. I actually pulled out a calendar and counted the days! Now how insane is it that I should be contemplating Christmas when Halloween and Thanksgiving haven't happened yet? Shouldn't I be more concerned with trying to figure out how much candy I'm going to need to pass out to Trick or Treaters? Shouldn't I be casing the grocery stores for sales on turkeys and hams for Thanksgiving?
Shouldn't I be protesting that the Dollar Store has CHRISTMAS WRAPPING PAPER out and available for sale (and shouldn't I be over there stocking up as last year, I actually managed to completely and totally clean out my reserves of Christmas paper? First time that's ever happened to me since, um... um... forever.)
What about Halloween costumes? Where are they? Shouldn't they be out and available before the Christmas wrapping paper?
No, it's not time to start searching out the Christmas CD's and tapes. No, it's way too early to start baking Christmas cookies and fudge. I don't know about you, but I prefer my Christmas goodies to be un-freezer burned.
So, why is Christmas on my mind?
I have absolutely no idea. No clue. I couldn't tell ya.
But keep in mind... 112 Shopping Days... 112 Shopping Days... 112 Shopping Days...
