Who Turned On August?

...
Highlights of July:

Going to San Francisco for the Romance Writers of America conference (okay, not for the conference itself, but to meet some online writing friends and to go to the Literacy Signing book fair...)

Took my mother along with to San Fran. We had a great time. When I told her we were going to the literacy signing so she could stand in Nora Roberts' line, her eyes got to be about a mile across. Each. We had a great time. Did I mention that? We got to do some touristy things, too, which was fun. Had Mom all to meself--which was an added bonus.

Saw Mamma Mia with my girlfriends. What a terrific movie. I can't wait for it to come out in DVD. Would like to see it again in the theater.

Sad things in July:

My uncle passed away. He was way too young, but cancer pays no attention to age. My brain rebels at the thought of him being gone. He's the first one we've lost in my parents' generation. Parents have been instructed they are not to hurry up and follow suit. In fact, my cousin suggested to my Dad (older brother of the 2), that it would be perfectly okay for Dad to live to be 120 years old. I agree completely and totally. Am going to send a memo to my younger sisters that they are not allowed to pre-decease me. Morbid, yes, but man-oh-man, it's wrong on so many levels to bury your younger sibs.

What's up for August:

Working on a Christmas novella for Moonlit Romance called The Santa Charm. It's being published in November. Stay tuned for more details--- one of these days, I'll actually post the back cover blurb. (Makes note to WRITE the back cover blurb!) The Pops' Girls series that was to be published starting this month and going thru October has been moved to January, February and March of 2009.

Looking forward to the rest of the year being WAY less hectic than these past 7 + a few days months. Please. Really. I'm ready to watch the grass grow. Watch the paint dry. Watch the clouds chase each other across the blue expanse of the sky... Anything that doesn't require me to do more than sit like a bump on a log. Really. Boredom, anyone? GGG.

Hey guys!
i just started blogging not that long ago and running across this blog it seemed a bit too interesting to only read the first paragraph. I kinda got confused in the middle of it but the end just made it all go together like a puzzle. Please, who ever wrote this, keep me updated!
