I haven't come across this quote before, so here it is for your pleasure and enjoyment.
A day in the life of a romance author, from the mundane to the crazy. From family life to writing life. And sometimes, my opinion, which often isn't noted for being very humble.

Monday Monday
I don't know about you, but I need another weekend to recover from my weekend. The upside is my house is clean and my laundry is one load away from being done. Totally exciting, right? I got the little bitty birdhouses I'm donating to my middle son's fundraising booth at the Ghostwalk this coming weekend DONE. I have so many more projects I need to finish - crafting and writing.
The birdie chateaux:
Oldest son had the best Saturday of his life -his NJROTC softball team won first place in a tournament. The. Greatest. Day. Of. His. Life. EVER.
Middle son has been making paracord bracelets to sell at the fundraising booth next weekend. Yes, most of us here in this house are all sporting bracelets. Here's mine:
Youngest son is probably the only kid we have at the moment, who isn't up to his eyeballs in Other Stuff. His turn will come. Yep.
What else do I know? Well, we've had some gorgeous Autumn days here...cloudy, cool, rainy some. Today is cloudy so far, so I decided this is perfect crock pot chili weather. Nothing fancy, just kidney beans, Hunt's canned (and seasoned) diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, onion and ground beef, with other seasonings.

Now, I must go eat some Frankenberry cereal and finish my read-through of one of my Christmas novellas. Would like to get that done before I start another project - one the Muse is teasing me with right now. Silly Muse.
Final thought for today and I'm away:

Saturday Musings
We, and by "we" I mean my brother-in-law and I, and even then, mostly BIL, finally got the kitchen painted. Last year, in the spring, we had plumbing failure in the shower above the kitchen, and the leak made a really nice paint bubble. Rather than try to match the "designer" (really boring) color, I opted for a warm, ruddy terracotta color. Was going to do it as an accent wall, but we liked it so much, we continued it to define the kitchen part of our living space. We have a tiny "living room" (used as a den) at the front of the house, and the stairs separate that from the back part of the house which is a great room - kitchen, dining and family room. I absolutely love the floor plan - 3 different spaces but everyone can be together. Was wonderful our first Christmas here, all the family except my youngest sister and her family and my BIL were here.
Painting the kitchen gave it a whole new look which I really like, it offsets the very neutral beige tiles, and it makes the white tiles of the counter (which I absolutely detest) look very bright.
Other things going on this beautiful autumn Saturday...
One boy is at Cedar Badge training for Scouts, the rest (including Mr. Laura and BIL) are finishing up Oldest Son's Eagle project. I am training laundry and cleaning the house. As soon as the self-cleaning house is invented, I'm going to get one. Other things going on - I want to write, AND, I have the goodies to make Christmas presents for the extended family. Since we will be seeing the in-laws and my folks around Thanksgiving (but at two different times), I thought it would be really smart to get their gifts done to send home with them. Less business for the USPS, but yanno.
On You Tube - it started as a walk down memory lane listening to Ed Ames (I remember my parents had The Best of Ed Ames on 8-Track and tortured us with it on a regular basis on road trips), I managed to segue into listening to Jim Nabors and this.
So much for the day being very exciting. I think I have a date now with my dust rag.
I'll just leave you with this thought for the weekend. Have a great one!

Love like you'll never be hurt,
Sing like there's nobody listening,
And live like it's heaven on earth.”
